Misfit Vapor 2 Smartwatch launched With Built-in GPS, NFC Support Launched
Misfit Vapor 2 has been recently launched the latest smartwatch in the company’s line-up. Misfit Vapor 2 launched With Built-in GPS, NFC Support Launched, Misfit Vapor 2 is a Wear OS smartwatch priced at $249.99 (Approximately Rs. 18,300).
It is a successful product for the Misfit Vapor that was launched by the Fossil-owned brand previous year.
The Vapor 2 brings some exciting features such as GPS and NFC –there are also two features that were missing in the previous version. It comes with an upgraded heart rate sensor in this device.
Still, there doesn’t seem to be any major improvement in terms of design and built quality as the Misfit Vapor 2 looks similar to its predecessor.
The Misfit Vapor 2 smartwatch will be available soon via its official company’s site and some other retailers. There is no any specific release date yet, but it is listed as “coming soon”.
However, the company has also revealed the pricing and a rundown of the specs. As declared, the price of the Wear OS smartwatch has been set at $249.99, which is $50 (Approximately Rs. 3,700) more than its predecessor.
There is no such clearness on whether the Vapor 2 will launch in other markets like India. If we remember, the Misfit Vapor had made its way to the country almost a year after its worldwide launch.
Specifications and Features:
Now coming to the specifications, the Misfit Vapor 2 sports an AMOLED display and comes in two sizes – First is a 1.19-inch display with a 41mm case and second is a 1.39-inch display with a 46mm case. Especially, both of them have a PPI of 328 pixels per inch.
As said, the basic highlight of Vapor 2 is the addition of built-in GPS and NFC. Now, Users will be able to track speed, distance, elevation, and time during runs, even if the phone is left behind.
With the NFC chip, users will be able to make payments via Google official payment app, Google Pay. However, the feature will only be available in some particular countries.
The Misfit Vapor 2 launched with a ‘redesigned’ heart rate sensor and has Google Assistant built-in device.
It is also water resistant for up to 30 to 40 meters. Interestingly, one of the major disappointing features of the Misfit Vapor 2 is its processor.
The Misfit Vapor 2 smartwatch is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC, instead of the latest Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor.
